CSR was requested by Howard Holdings to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and to provide general planning advice to the Cork Docklands Local Area Plan.
The EIS was done in conjunction with a project team which included Fosters and Partners, Scott Tallon Walker, HKR, Patel Taylor, Urban Strategies, Arup Consulting Engineers and Mitchell & Associates Landscape Architects.
The development is the largest planning application ever received by Cork City Council, which aims to develop 12 buildings of up to 28 storeys, including over 500 residential units, retail units, 48,000 square metres of office space, a hotel with conference facility, a leisure centre, an events arena seating 5,000 people, art spaces, restaurants and cafés, a crèche, a civic building and a medical unit on a brownfield site of five hectares.
We are currently working with the receiver to review options to progress the site in conjunction with the City Council LAP process for Cork Docklands.
