CSR was retained by Limerick City Council to develop a Sports and Recreation Facilities Policy Framework Plan for meeting the needs of the city and surrounding areas for sports and recreational facilities currently and in the future.

CSR carried out an extensive audit of the existing sports facilities and open spaces by consulting agencies, organisations, voluntary and statutory groups.

We also assessed future needs with regard to trends, future demand from populations, future requirements through sample surveys, sports partnerships and land availability for recreational development. We then identified mechanisms for provision through policies and actions set out in a strategic action plan for the proceeding decade.
